3 Liverpool targets just gave Arsenal a taste of what could come next season
Liverpool’s summer transfer plans are already taking shape, and three of their rumoured targets recently showcased their quality in a way that should worry Arsenal—and the rest of the Premier League.
1. Johan Bakayoko (PSV Eindhoven)
The explosive winger was a constant menace in PSV’s Champions League clash with Arsenal, using his blistering pace and direct dribbling to trouble the Gunners’ backline. If Liverpool secure him, he could be the perfect long-term successor to Mohamed Salah.
2. Teun Koopmeiners (Atalanta)
The Dutch midfielder ran the show in Atalanta’s Europa League victory over Liverpool, proving his ability to dominate games with his passing, physicality, and goal threat. A player of his calibre would add serious steel to Liverpool’s midfield—something Arsenal struggled against last season.
3. Willian Pacho (Eintracht Frankfurt)
The commanding centre-back has been a rock at the back for Frankfurt and fits Liverpool’s profile perfectly. Strong in the air and comfortable on the ball, he could be the ideal partner for Virgil van Dijk, shoring up a defence that Arsenal have occasionally exposed.
If Liverpool land even two of these three, they’ll be sending a clear message to Mikel Arteta’s side: the title race could be even tougher next season.
