NASCAR legend Tony Stewart is basking in the joys of fatherhood and recently opened up about his newborn son, Dominic. The racing icon and his wife, NHRA drag racer Leah Pruett, welcomed their baby boy earlier this year, and Stewart can’t help but marvel at how much Dominic resembles his mother.
“He’s the spitting image of Leah,” Stewart said with a laugh. “Her genes definitely stole the show. I keep looking for traces of me, but it’s all her — from his eyes to his little smile.” Despite the uncanny resemblance to Pruett, Stewart beams with pride over his growing family.
Friends and fans have noted the strong bond forming between Stewart and Dominic, with the racing world offering congratulations and well-wishes. Stewart, once known for his fiery demeanor on the track, now reveals a softer, more sentimental side as a dad.
“Being a father changes everything,” he added. “It’s a different kind of victory.”
Though Dominic may not bear his father’s features just yet, Stewart is hopeful that his passion for racing might be inherited down the road. For now, he’s just soaking in every precious moment with his mini lookalike of Leah.
