In an unprecedented display of all-around excellence, the University of Michigan has been named the top athletic program in the nation for 2025. The Wolverines are the only school this year to accomplish the rare feat of reaching elite milestones across every major sport: winning a national championship, making the Men’s College World Series (MCWS), advancing to the Final Four in men’s basketball, earning a bowl game in football, and reaching a regional in women’s volleyball and softball.
Michigan Football capped off a dominant season with a second consecutive national championship, while the baseball team stormed into the MCWS with clutch postseason wins.
