The Tennessee Titans have announced a bold $900 million modernization plan to transform Nissan Stadium into a world-class, fully enclosed venue. The project aims to significantly upgrade the current open-air stadium, boosting its seating capacity from 69,000 to an impressive 100,000 — positioning it among the largest and most advanced stadiums in the NFL.

The proposed design includes a retractable roof, state-of-the-art amenities, expanded concourses, enhanced video and audio systems, and improved fan accessibility and comfort. The vision is not only to enhance the gameday experience but also to establish the stadium as a year-round destination capable of hosting major concerts, Final Four tournaments, Super Bowls, and other high-profile events.

The Titans are partnering with city and state officials on funding options, with a mix of private investment and public support expected. Officials emphasized the stadium’s potential economic impact, predicting thousands of construction jobs and a long-term boost in tourism and local business revenue.

If approved, construction could begin as early as next year, with a target completion date before the 2029 NFL season. The renovation reflects Nashville’s growing stature as a premier sports and entertainment hub in the U.S.
