The Canberra Raiders have received a major boost ahead of the NRL finals run-in with star fullback Jordan Rapana signing a contract extension that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2026 season. Rapana, one of the most experienced and versatile players in the Raiders squad, expressed his excitement and belief in the club’s future.
“I’m proud to continue my journey with the Green Machine,” Rapana said. “There’s a very bright future here with the talent we’ve got coming through and the culture we’ve built over the years. I love this club and the community around it.”
The 35-year-old Kiwi international has been instrumental in several of Canberra’s key victories this season, often delivering game-changing moments with his flair, toughness, and leadership on and off the field. Head coach Ricky Stuart praised Rapana’s loyalty and impact, calling him “a crucial piece of our puzzle.”
With young stars like Ethan Strange and Xavier Savage rising, Rapana’s presence offers vital experience and stability. His re-signing is seen as a signal of intent from the Raiders, who remain firmly in the race for a top-four finish. Fans can now look forward to more magic from the veteran in green for the next two seasons.
