Canberra Raiders forward Hohepa Tufuga is eagerly anticipating what he describes as “a really good battle” in the upcoming clash against a fired-up opponent this weekend. The powerful second-rower, known for his relentless work rate and physicality, said the team is bracing for a tough challenge as the finals race intensifies. “It’s going to be a really good battle in the middle – both sides are desperate for the win and it’ll come down to who wants it more,” Tufuga said.
The Raiders are coming off a strong run of form, and Tufuga’s performances have been pivotal, especially in defense. “We’ve been working hard at training, tightening our structures, and I think we’re starting to click at the right time,” he added. While acknowledging the strengths of the opposition, Tufuga believes the Raiders’ unity and resilience will give them the edge. “There’s a lot of belief in the squad. We’ve got each other’s backs out there, and that’s going to be key.”
