Raiders and Menslink Team Up Again for Silence is Deadly Campaign….

 

 

The Canberra Raiders have once again joined forces with Menslink to relaunch the impactful Silence is Deadly campaign, aimed at encouraging young men to speak up about their mental health. The initiative, which has become a cornerstone of the Raiders’ community outreach, promotes open conversations, emotional resilience, and help-seeking behavior among young males in the ACT and surrounding regions.

 

With mental health challenges continuing to affect young men at alarming rates, the campaign emphasizes that staying silent can have serious consequences. Raiders players play a key role as ambassadors, sharing their own stories and urging others to seek support when struggling.

 

Head coach Ricky Stuart and senior players, including Jack Wighton and Elliott Whitehead, have been vocal supporters of the program, frequently engaging with schools and community groups to drive home the message that it’s okay not to be okay.

 

Menslink CEO Martin Fisk said the continued support from the Raiders gives the campaign a powerful platform, especially among youth who look up to athletes as role models. Together, the Raiders and Menslink hope to break down the stigma around mental health and make a lasting impact across the community. The Silence is Deadly message is clear: speak up, seek help, and support each other.
