A co-owner of the Gold Coast Titans has thrown his support behind embattled head coach Des Hasler, declaring “he’s a winner” despite the club’s continued struggles in 2025. With the Titans languishing near the bottom of the ladder and fans growing restless, pressure has mounted on Hasler, who was brought in to inject discipline, structure, and much-needed success.
But despite the underwhelming results, the club’s leadership insists Hasler is the right man for the job. “Des has a proven track record,” the co-owner said. “He’s taken teams to Grand Finals, he knows what success looks like, and he’s instilling that culture here. It’s not an overnight fix.”
Hasler’s arrival came with high hopes, but a spate of injuries, inconsistent performances, and defensive lapses have derailed the season. Still, the backing from ownership signals a desire for stability—something the Titans have sorely lacked over the years.
“Des is a winner, and we’re backing him to turn this around,” the co-owner added. “We believe in the long-term vision.”
While the results remain disappointing, the Titans seem committed to riding out the storm with Hasler at the helm. Whether patience will pay off, or wear thin, remains to be seen.
