Any suggestion that Alo has surpassed them as a pitcher is likely a misunderstanding or a misstatement. If ESPN released a new ranking or opinion piece declaring her the greatest college softball player overall, that would be more aligned with her accolades. While Alo’s impact on the sport is undeniable, her role was as a hitter and utility player, not a pitcher—so comparing her directly with pitching legends must consider these position differences.
