“Amid retirement rumors, Sam Pittman pledges to coach at least three more seasons”…..👇

Amid swirling retirement rumors, Arkansas Razorbacks head coach Sam Pittman has firmly pledged to remain at the helm for at least three more seasons. Despite speculation fueled by his age—he turns 64 in November—and past health concerns, Pittman assured fans and media that he has no plans to step away anytime soon.

Speaking recently, Pittman addressed concerns over his appearance last year, attributing it to physical strain from hip issues. However, after undergoing successful hip replacement surgery, he says he feels revitalized and is now walking two miles a day. “I feel better than I have in a long time,” he noted.

Pittman currently holds a contract through the 2027 season, thanks to a clause triggered by reaching a seven-win season in 2021. “My goal is to coach, at least through what my contract is,” he stated, reaffirming his commitment to the program.

Since taking over in 2020, Pittman has led the Razorbacks to a 27–24 record, including a Liberty Bowl victory in 2024. While acknowledging the challenges posed by the transfer portal and NIL changes, he remains focused on stabilizing and improving the team. For now, Pittman is staying put—and he’s ready to keep building in Fayetteville.
