Rugby league legend Andrew Johns has firmly shut down the latest wave of rumours linking Penrith Panthers star Nathan Cleary with Matildas footballer Mary Fowler. Speculation surrounding the pair’s relationship status has circulated on social media in recent weeks, prompting renewed media attention. However, Johns addressed the chatter during a recent interview, calling the rumours baseless and a distraction from the players’ respective careers.
“There’s nothing in it,” Johns said. “People love to create stories, but as far as I know, they’re both just focused on their sport.”
