The couple confirmed that her father sustained severe burns in a food truck explosion earlier this week. The accident occurred during a private family event, where a sudden propane malfunction caused the explosion.
In their joint statement, Stewart and Pruett expressed deep gratitude for the quick response of emergency medical personnel, crediting them with saving his life. “We are heartbroken but thankful he is alive and receiving excellent care,” the statement read. They clarified that while the injuries are serious, he is currently stable and undergoing treatment in a specialized burn unit.
