The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs have made two significant roster changes ahead of the 2026 NRL season, signaling their intent to build a stronger and more balanced squad. The club confirmed the signing of young forward Liam Knight from the South Sydney Rabbitohs, while experienced winger Josh Addo-Carr has been granted an early release to pursue an opportunity in the Super League.
Knight, 28, is expected to bring much-needed power and aggression to the Bulldogs’ pack, with coach Cameron Ciraldo describing him as “a player who fits the club’s new identity — hardworking, physical, and relentless.” His arrival adds depth to a forward rotation that already includes Tevita Pangai Jr. and Max King.
Meanwhile, Addo-Carr’s departure marks the end of an era for the Bulldogs. The “Foxx,” known for his electrifying pace and flair, joined the club in 2022 and became a fan favorite despite the team’s struggles. Ciraldo thanked him for his leadership and professionalism, calling him “a true competitor who gave everything for the blue and white.”
With these moves, Canterbury aims to strengthen its forward dominance while investing in youth and long-term stability — key elements as they chase a return to finals contention in 2026.
