Arkansas infielder Wehiwa Aloy has been honored as the 2025 SEC Baseball Player of the Year, capping off a stellar season with one of college baseball’s most prestigious individual awards. Aloy, a junior standout from Hawai‘i, has been a key force behind the Razorbacks’ dominant run this year, showcasing both power at the plate and defensive excellence in the infield.
Aloy finished the regular season with a .371 batting average, 19 home runs, and 67 RBIs, leading the SEC in total bases and slugging percentage. His consistent performance helped Arkansas clinch the SEC West title and secure a top national seed for the upcoming NCAA Tournament.
Known for his smooth glove work and clutch hitting, Aloy earned respect across the conference for his leadership and work ethic. Arkansas head coach Dave Van Horn praised him as “the heart of our lineup and a relentless competitor.”
This marks the third time an Arkansas player has won the SEC Player of the Year honor. With this recognition, Aloy solidifies his status as a top prospect for the upcoming MLB Draft, while Razorback fans celebrate his remarkable contributions to one of the nation’s top baseball programs.
