The Tennessee Titans have unveiled a bronze statue of legendary quarterback Steve McNair, commemorating his lasting impact on the franchise and the Nashville community. Installed outside Nissan Stadium, the statue captures McNair in his signature poised stance, symbolizing his leadership, grit, and resilience on the field.

McNair, who played 11 seasons with the Titans (formerly Oilers), led the team to its first Super Bowl appearance in 1999 and was named NFL Co-MVP in 2003. Known as “Air McNair,” he was revered for his toughness, dual-threat ability, and leadership under pressure. Off the field, he was celebrated for his charitable work and community involvement.

Titans officials, former teammates, fans, and McNair’s family gathered during the emotional unveiling ceremony to reflect on his legacy. Owner Amy Adams Strunk praised McNair as “a cornerstone of Titans history and a true inspiration to generations of players.”

The statue joins the growing list of Titans legends honored outside the stadium, ensuring McNair’s story continues to inspire. This tribute solidifies his place not only in the Titans’ lore but in the broader story of the NFL, recognizing his impact as both an athlete and a beloved figure in Tennessee.
