The Arkansas Razorbacks have landed a significant addition to their 2026 recruiting class, securing a commitment from 4-star linebacker Marcus “MJ” Daniels out of Quincy, Florida. Widely regarded as one of the top defensive prospects in the Southeast, Daniels brings elite athleticism, high football IQ, and positional versatility to Fayetteville.

Standing 6-foot-2 and weighing in at 215 pounds, Daniels has the frame and instincts to play inside or outside linebacker at the next level. Known for his explosive first step, strong tackling ability, and fluid coverage skills, he’s been a standout at both linebacker and edge roles for Gadsden County High School. His junior season featured 102 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, 5 sacks, and 2 interceptions—numbers that drew offers from over 25 Power Five programs, including Alabama, Florida State, and Georgia.

Daniels cited the Razorbacks’ defensive scheme and the relationship with linebackers coach Michael Scherer as key factors in his decision. “Arkansas made me feel like a priority from day one,” Daniels said. “I see a chance to make an immediate impact there.”

This commitment gives Arkansas a massive boost in the SEC arms race and further solidifies their 2026 class as one of the most promising in recent memory.
